Chazzan Jeremy Burko serves as cantor of the Beth Radom Congregation in his home city of Toronto. Before his appointment to the position in 2015, Chazzan Burko served as cantor of Agudath Israel Congregation in Ottawa and the New North London Synagogue, in the heart of England’s Masorti Jewish community. He grew up in a musical family, studying various instruments and cantorial technique, and in 2010, received his Masters of Sacred Music as well as cantorial investiture from the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York City. Chazzan Jeremy has starred in Israeli musical theatre, New York City independent opera, has founded and directed Jewish choral groups around the world, and has toured extensively with renowned Jewish a cappella group Pizmon, Jerusalem’s Great Synagogue Choir, and Matthew Lazar’s Manhattan Zamir Chorale.
