Shirley Cohen has enjoyed a long career as a music educator, choral director, composer, arranger, cantorial soloist, prayer leader, performer, and Israeli folk dance instructor, both in the US and Israel. Shirley engages with a wide range of Jewish and Israeli music. She is a content contributor for the Israel Hour Radio podcast, and teaches adult education sessions on Israeli music. Shirley has presented at local and national CAJE/NewCAJE conferences, and is a sought-after consultant on Jewish and Israeli music. Shirley founded and directs the Temple Beth Hillel-Beth El Youth Choir.
